Mary Queen of Peace is a Catholic parish in Rogers, Minnesota, formed in January 2003 through the merger of St. Walburga and St. Martin of Tours parishes. The parish stewards two historic worship sites: the St. Martin Campus in Rogers and the Oratory of St. Walburga, one of the oldest church buildings in northwest Hennepin County. It is part of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis and is closely tied to Mary Queen of Peace Catholic School, which serves pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. The community carries forward nearly 170 years of Catholic faith and education in the area.

History and Heritage

Mary Queen of Peace was created in January 2003 when St. Walburga and St. Martin of Tours parishes merged. St. Walburga, founded in 1857, is one of the oldest churches in Northwest Hennepin County; its current building was constructed in 1883. St. Martin of Tours opened in 1912 and its school began in 1950; the church building was designed by French architect Emmanuel Louis Masqueray. In 2022, St. Walburga became the Oratory of St. Walburga.
