Parish History
The Catholic community in Chugwater dates back at least to the early twentieth century, when an earlier Catholic church was built in the 1920s. That original building served the town's ranching families for several generations before being replaced. The present Mary Queen of Heaven church was constructed in 1999–2000 and continues the mission of bringing the Catholic faith to this rural part of southeastern Wyoming.
