About Our Church
We are a new community of faith established by Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, M.Sp.S. and united in the Catholic Church, to serve the Far West Side of San Antonio. Join us as disciples and missionaries to build the Kingdom of God in your neighborhood.
Our Vision
We have been called to be disciples and missionaries of Jesus Christ. We live out this call Encountering Christ, United as Church, and Sent by the Spirit.
What We Do
God's Kingdom is not to be found in scripture and philosophy, distant in time or place. It is found in our families, in our work, in our friendships, in Westover Hills, across the Far West Side of San Antonio. This is what we do.
Our Community
Sometimes people are surprised to find that our church is not under construction. I remind them that the Archbishop asked me to build a Parish, not a church. The Parish, in time, will build a church to worship in. We are that parish. We are that community.
Safe Environment
Mary Mother of the Church Parish is certified by the Archdiocese of San Antonio as a Safe Environment. All staff and all volunteers with unsupervised access to minors or vulnerable adults have undergone a background check and have received training in sexual abuse prevention.
