Faith Formation, Youth, and Family Life
All faith-formation programming is run through St. Francis of Assisi in Longmont and is open to Lyons Catholic Community families. Programs include RCIA for adults, ongoing adult faith formation, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium for children, youth ministry, and a young adult group. Father Jim Crisman oversees RCIA, adult and child formation, Baptisms, the parish library, youth ministry, and the WELCOME weekend personally.

Music and Liturgy
Music ministry is coordinated by Fidel Cuellar-Torres, Director of Music & Communications, and runs across several choirs and scholas serving the different weekend Masses at St. Francis of Assisi. The Saturday 5:30 p.m. Mass in Lyons uses a piano and volunteer cantor. Across the wider parish, four weekend Masses are intentionally differentiated in music and style (traditional organ, Solemn High Mass with Gregorian chant, contemporary praise-and-worship) so that every parishioner can find a liturgy that helps them pray.

Parish Identity and Mission
St. Francis of Assisi and the Lyons Catholic Community share a parish mission statement: 'We exist to embrace the drifting, the wounded, and the lonely, into the refuge and home of abundant life in the Church,' with the operating principle that the parish is 'in the business of bringing Jesus to people, and bringing people to Jesus.' The parish identifies itself as welcoming, family-friendly, beautiful, reverent, and vibrant, with core behaviors of welcoming, sacrificial generosity, apostolic zeal, and docility. Parish History and Building Program
St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the parent parish of Lyons Catholic Community, has undergone a multi-phase building program. Phase I built the parish's initial facilities; by 2015 the parish had outgrown them and launched Phase II, the construction of the permanent church, new offices, a renovated hall, and new classrooms. Archbishop Samuel Aquila dedicated the new church on June 19, 2019, the same day Father Jim Crisman was appointed pastor. Phase III, a new on-site rectory with capacity for three priests and a seminarian, broke ground July 24, 2023. Lyons Catholic Community itself celebrated 40 years of Catholic presence in Lyons in November 2021, and has never had a stand-alone church building, sharing the Lyons Community Church at 350 Main Street with the town's ecumenical community since its founding around 1981.
