Why belong here

Incarnation offers a rare Catholic home for anyone drawn to the reverent, English-language Anglican liturgical tradition: a daily-Mass parish with a Sung Mass on Sunday, Eucharistic Adoration, Evening Prayer, the Rosary, Scripture study and adult Faith Formation led by Father Holiday himself. Rooted in the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter's mission of evangelization and now more than 400 families strong, the parish is small enough that newcomers are quickly known by name, yet rich enough to offer the full sacramental life of the Catholic Church. Visitors and Catholics of any background are warmly welcomed to assist at Mass and receive the sacraments.

History & Founding

Incarnation was originally founded in the early 1980s as the Church of the Incarnation, an Anglican congregation belonging to the Traditional Anglican Communion. The TAC's by-laws explicitly sought restored union with the Roman Catholic Church, and through the 1980s and 2000s the small parish grew steadily, reaching a peak of about 120 members. After the erection of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter in the United States, the parish was formally received into full Catholic communion on September 16, 2012. Since reception it has more than tripled, today serving over 400 Catholic households in the Ordinariate's distinctive English-language liturgical tradition.

  • Founded early 1980s as Anglican Church of the Incarnation (Traditional Anglican Communion)
  • Reached ~120 members as an Anglican body
  • Received into full Catholic communion: September 16, 2012, as part of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter
  • Now home to 400+ Catholic parishioners

The 2023 and 2024 Fires & Rebuild

On the night of June 24, 2023, a fire was deliberately set at the foot of the altar. Investigators determined that the arsonist stacked the communion-rail kneeling cushions at the base of the altar, doused them with an accelerant, and set a second fire on the second-floor choir balcony. Three of the six timber truss beams on the east side were catastrophically damaged, and the interior — organ, speakers, statues and paintings — was largely destroyed. No one was injured, and Mass resumed the next morning in the adjacent parish hall. A second arson fire struck the altar of the parish hall on October 16, 2024; three sprinkler heads activated and contained the damage. The parish is now planning a $5.7 million reconstruction roughly double the size of the original, with restrooms, a built-in confessional, a cry room for children, sprinklers and a security system. As of late 2024 about $3.7 million had been raised, plus a $2 million loan; Father Holiday hopes to celebrate the first Mass in the new church in June 2026.

  • June 24, 2023 — arson fire destroys sanctuary interior; timber trusses damaged
  • October 16, 2024 — second arson fire at parish-hall altar; sprinklers limit damage
  • Both incidents under investigation by Orlando Fire and Police
  • Rebuild budget: ~$5.7 million; estimated double the original footprint
  • Target first Mass in new church: June 2026

Pastoral Team

The parish is led by its founding Catholic pastor, Father William 'Doc' Holiday, who was ordained a Catholic priest on December 15, 2012, the same year the community was received into full communion. He is assisted by Father Jason McCrimmon, ordained June 29, 2018, who serves as Parochial Vicar. Donna Espiritu serves as the parish's Administrative Assistant.

  • Rev. William 'Doc' Holiday — Pastor (ordained Dec 15, 2012)
  • Rev. Jason McCrimmon — Parochial Vicar (ordained June 29, 2018)
  • Donna Espiritu — Administrative Assistant

Evening Prayer, Rosary & Devotions

True to its Anglican patrimony, Incarnation maintains the Daily Office alongside Eucharistic devotions. Evening Prayer (the Anglican-tradition liturgy of the hours) is prayed on Friday and Saturday mornings; the Rosary is recited publicly several times each week. The new church, currently being planned, will retain and expand space for these devotions.

  • Evening Prayer: Fri 11:30 AM; Sat 9:00 AM
  • Rosary: Mon 6:30 – 8:30 PM; Sat 5:00 – 5:45 PM; Fri 11:30 AM (before Noon Mass)

Faith Formation & Scripture Study

Adult Faith Formation is taught directly by Father Holiday between the Sunday Masses, providing parishioners an opportunity to ask questions and grow in the richness of Catholic tradition. A separate Scripture-study group, 'Scripture in Detail,' meets midweek to read and discuss Sacred Scripture together.

  • Adult Faith Formation with Father Holiday: Sun 9:15 – 10:00 AM
  • Scripture in Detail (Bible study): Wed 7:45 – 8:45 PM

The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter

Incarnation belongs to the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter, one of three ordinariates worldwide established under Pope Benedict XVI's 2009 Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus for groups of former Anglican faithful entering into full Catholic communion. Parishes of the Ordinariate worship in the Latin Rite while preserving Anglican liturgical, spiritual and pastoral traditions — at Incarnation this means reverent English-language liturgy, Evening Prayer, and a strong evangelistic mission. Father Holiday has often summed up the Ordinariate's work in a single word: evangelism.

  • Established under Anglicanorum Coetibus (2009)
  • Latin Rite worship with Anglican patrimony
  • Ordinary based in Houston, Texas
  • Parish mission: evangelization
