Our History
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish was established in 1927, the same year as several other Rio Grande Valley parishes such as Our Lady of Guadalupe in Raymondville, Our Lady Star of the Sea in Port Isabel, Sacred Heart in Edinburg, and St. Margaret Mary in Pharr. From these beginnings, the parish grew into a stable fixture of Catholic life in Harlingen, providing bilingual sacramental and devotional ministry to generations of Valley families.
