History
Established on August 22, 1952, by Archbishop Edward F. Hoban, the parish began in the State Theater before moving to a permanent church and school. The cornerstone of the church was laid in 1953 and the first Mass in the new church was held on Easter Sunday, 1954. The parish has seen multiple pastors, including Father Thomas D. McIntyre (1952–1978), Father John R. Rathfon (1978–1994), and Father Thomas W. McCann (1994–present, as of the text’s end). Major milestones include the 1992 completion of the Parish Community Center, the 2002 Semicentennial celebration, and the 2022 installation of a new organ. The parish also maintains a strong educational mission and numerous ministries.

Sacraments
The parish offers Baptism, First Communion, and Marriage. The first Baptisms occurred in the new church on the same day as the first Mass (April 18, 1954), and the first First Communion took place on May 2, 1954, with 92 children participating. The first wedding was held on May 29, 1954.
