About

Immaculate Conception Church is a parish of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Founded in 1898 and incorporated in 1900, the present church was built in 1926. In August 2007, Archbishop Elden Curtiss entrusted the care of the parish to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter to provide the Mass and Sacraments in the Traditional Rites of the Catholic Church to any who so desire them. A personal parish dedicated to the Traditional Latin Mass is encouraged by Pope Benedict XVI in his 2007 Motu Proprio 'Summorum Pontificum'.

Liturgy

We offer a full parochial observance of the Sacred Liturgy, including three Masses on Sunday and one or two Masses on the other days of the week. While the Traditional Latin Mass is offered at other locations in Omaha, Immaculate Conception is the only Traditional Latin Mass parish in full communion with the Catholic Church in the City of Omaha.

Parish Life

Our priests currently teach various classes for the parish and community. Contact the Rectory for details. Our Priests: The needs of our several hundred active parishioners are currently being met by two priests living at the parish. These priests belong to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (F.S.S.P.), an international society of Pontifical Rite with the charism to pursue holiness by means of the Traditional Liturgy and all things which flow from this: doctrine, discipline, and discipleship.

Sacraments

The parish offers the full range of sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion, Marriage, and Extreme Unction. Detailed information on each is available on the Sacraments page.
