About Immaculate Conception Parish
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church serves Catholics in and around Republic, the small county seat of Ferry County in northeastern Washington. The parish is a mission-style community of the Diocese of Spokane, gathering twice a week — Sunday evening and one weekday — for the celebration of the Eucharist, with the Sacrament of Reconciliation available before Sunday Mass. As one of the most rural parishes in the diocese, it is administered together with neighboring Catholic communities as part of the 'My Parish Family' tri-parish family.
History
Immaculate Conception was established in 1898, according to GCatholic's Catholic directory, making it more than 125 years old. The Republic area was opened to gold and other hard-rock mining in the late 19th century, drawing Catholic miners, ranchers and merchants who built the parish and its church at 261 E. 7th Street. It is now formally organized as 'Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish – Republic,' a Washington State nonprofit corporation, and is administered in cooperation with the Colville, Kettle Falls and Northport parishes.

Sacraments and Devotions
Beyond Sunday Mass and Confession, sacramental preparation (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick) is coordinated through the pastor and tri-parish office. Because the parish is small and rural, scheduled devotions are limited; parishioners should call the office for the current calendar of holy days, novenas and special observances.
