History
Priests began serving Wheatland County around 1910, holding Masses at ranches before St. Joseph's Catholic Church was built in 1917. Two missions were established simultaneously: Immaculate Conception in Judith Gap and Blessed Sacrament in Shawmut. A third mission in Hedgesville closed in 1958. The parish community commits to following Jesus’ call to make disciples and remains connected to the broader Roman Catholic Church.

Schedule
Sunday Mass at 12:00 pm, Confessions 11:30–11:50 am. Daily Mass on Thursdays at 12:00 pm. Confessions also available by appointment.
