About Us
Immaculate Conception Parish is a living faith community of the Catholic Diocese of Greensburg established in Irwin in 1868. We, the members of the parish, seek our ultimate salvation by gathering as a family of faith around Jesus Christ as revealed through the Catholic tradition. Our assent to Christ is modeled after Mary’s “yes” to her Son. We praise God in Word and Sacrament. We develop our faith commitment through education and by inviting and encouraging all members to respond fully to our baptismal call to reach out to others. We seek to bring the Joy of Christ to the parish, neighborhood and world by our celebration of life experiences and ministry of service. We all pursue this Mission with the collaboration and support of the parish staff, parish council, parish organization and every member.
