History

The parish was established in 1904 after Bishop Schwebach granted permission and William Starr donated land. Construction began with community contributions and labor, including help from Father Louis Archambault and local residents. The first Mass was held in 1902 at John Matushak’s home by Father Odoric Derenthal. The parish absorbed members from St. Michael Church in Clam Falls in 1944. The Women’s Guild was formed in 1907, and a cemetery was established in 1908. The parish has been served by numerous priests, including Father Joseph Fagan, Father Joseph Annabring (later Bishop), and Father Ludwig Bohl.

Ministries

The parish offers Religious Education and Youth Ministry for children and teens. The Women’s Guild supports the church through bazaars and parties. The parish also provides cemetery and columbarium services. Practical support is available, including assistance with grocery or medicine pickup.
