About Immaculate Conception · Boscobel, Wisconsin
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church is the Boscobel worship site of Corpus Christi Catholic Parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin. Situated along the Wisconsin River in Grant County, it is one of four historic church buildings brought together on July 1, 2011, alongside St. Malachy in Clyde, St. Joseph in Avoca, and St. John the Baptist in Muscoda. The Immaculate Conception building on East LeGrand Street also houses the parish offices for the entire pastorate. Catholics have worshipped in the Boscobel area since the 1830s, and the church remains the principal weekend Mass site of the merged parish, hosting the Saturday Vigil and a Sunday Mass. In July 2023 Corpus Christi joined with Queen of All Saints Parish to form the larger Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Pastorate, part of the Diocese of Madison's 'Into the Deep' restructuring.

History of the Parish
Catholic settlers arrived in the Boscobel area in the 1830s and faithfully served the Church across the 19th and 20th centuries. The modern parish, Corpus Christi, was canonically formed on July 1, 2011, uniting four rural communities: Immaculate Conception (Boscobel), St. Joseph (Avoca), St. John the Baptist (Muscoda), and St. Malachy (Clyde). Immaculate Conception was selected as the parish office campus. In July 2023 Corpus Christi merged with Queen of All Saints Parish (Fennimore, Castle Rock, and Mount Hope) into the Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Pastorate under the Diocese of Madison's 'Into the Deep' strategic restructuring.
