Holy Trinity Parish is a Roman Catholic community of Polish heritage in Westfield, Massachusetts, founded in 1903 by Polish immigrants and entrusted for 116 years to the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette. Located at 335 Elm Street in the Diocese of Springfield in Massachusetts, the parish celebrated the Mass in both English and Polish (the 8:30 a.m. Sunday Mass remains in Polish) and identified itself as a FAMILY seeking to support one another through the joys and sorrows of everyday life. Pastoral care was formally returned to the Diocese of Springfield on February 19, 2023, and the parish is now served by diocesan clergy while continuing the La Salette charism of reconciliation and mercy revealed to the world by Our Lady of La Salette in 1846.

Our Story & Polish-American Heritage
Polish immigrants began settling in Westfield, Massachusetts in the 1890s, and in 1903 they organized Holy Trinity as their own national parish. Because Bishop Thomas Daniel Beaven of Springfield wanted Polish-speaking priests for these new Catholics, he turned to the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette — a French order founded after the Blessed Mother's apparition in 1846. With no La Salette fathers then speaking Polish, the Bishop sent five missionaries at his own expense to Poland to learn the language. In 1906 the first La Salette Father arrived in Westfield, beginning an unbroken 116-year ministry that ended only with the formal transfer to the Diocese of Springfield on February 19, 2023.

Mission & La Salette Identity
Even under diocesan administration, the parish continues to embrace the La Salette charism of reconciliation. Its mission statement calls Holy Trinity 'a Roman Catholic La Salette Community proud of our Polish heritage, and committed to witnessing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ through liturgy, education, and celebrating the sacraments, especially the Eucharist.' Parishioners are described as 'a FAMILY, seeking to develop a cooperative spirit of supporting each other in facing the joys and sorrows of everyday life,' carrying forward the message of mercy revealed at La Salette.

Parish Staff & Leadership
After the departure of the Missionaries of La Salette in 2023, diocesan priests have administered the parish. Rev. Duy Le was the first diocesan administrator, followed by Rev. Paul Onuegbu and, currently, Rev. Michael Wood as Administrator Pro-Tem. Deacon Kevin Kriesak assists the parish and is a regular presence in the bulletin. The parish office is staffed by Administrative Assistants Maryanne Wright, Peter Polak, and Joanne Rollins.

Mass & Worship Schedule
Holy Trinity offers three Sunday Masses — including a Polish-language Mass at 8:30 a.m. — and a Saturday Vigil Mass. Weekday Masses are celebrated at Holy Trinity on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12:10 PM, and at the collaborative parish of St. Peter & St. Casimir on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:15 AM. Friday Masses are held during Lent at 7:00 PM, and a First Friday Mass is celebrated at 6:30 PM.

Parish Ministries & Community Life
Holy Trinity's parish life is supported by a Rosary Society, a sick-and-homebound ministry, the Stanley Jemiolo Scholarship program for college-bound parishioners, and the traditional liturgical ministries of lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, server, and choir. Information on celebrating the sacraments at Holy Trinity is published in every weekly bulletin. Baptisms and weddings require advance contact with the parish office, while Anointing of the Sick can be arranged by calling the dedicated line during serious illness or hospitalization.

Annual Catholic Appeal & Stewardship
Each year Holy Trinity supports the Annual Catholic Appeal of the Diocese of Springfield. The 2026 theme — 'Love Your Neighbor as Yourself' — invites parishioners to unite their gifts with other Catholics across the diocese to fund ministries of charity, education, and family support that no single parish could sustain alone.
