Our History
Before 1984, Catholics in Taylorsville had to travel to Statesville or Hickory for Sunday Mass. That changed when St. Aloysius Church in Hickory purchased a farmhouse on what is now NC Highway 90 West and began celebrating Mass there on Easter Sunday 1984. The first priest, Father Joseph Waters, along with parishioners, worked to build a permanent church behind the original farmhouse.

Building & Architecture
The current Holy Trinity church seats about 180 people in roughly 2,400 square feet, and sits directly behind the original farmhouse where Mass was first celebrated. The parish's most celebrated feature is a circular stained-glass window, three feet in diameter, behind the altar. It was designed and built by parishioner Jack Brett and is considered a distinctive piece of the church's identity.

Lenten & Holy Week Services
During Lent and Holy Week, the parish offers bilingual devotions and liturgies that bring the community together. Stations of the Cross are celebrated weekly throughout Lent.

Sacraments

The Holy Trinity Fall Festival (Kermes de la Iglesia Santa Trinidad) is a highlight of the parish calendar, drawing together parishioners and the wider Taylorsville community for food, mini-soccer, volleyball, and dance.
