History
Holy Trinity was established on June 3, 1987, during the major build-out of north San Antonio's Stone Oak corridor, and grew rapidly alongside the neighborhood. By 1988 it was already large enough to spawn a Knights of Columbus council: in August of that year, parishioner Ben Paoletta approached the founding-era pastor, Father Fater, about forming one. Father Fater endorsed the plan, and after a September 1988 organizational meeting at Encino Park Hall that drew 25 men, Council 9967 received its Supreme Council charter in December 1988 with 36 charter members. Early parish life was itinerant — officers met at the Afton Oaks Office Building and general membership met at a Hallmark-Bradfield Realty trailer on Stone Oak Parkway — before consolidating into the parish's current campus with its own banquet facility. Today Holy Trinity is one of the larger parishes in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, with over 4,600 registered families and a sweeping ministry portfolio.

Clergy & Parish Staff
The parish is served by Pastor Fr. Rodolfo Caballero and Parochial Vicar Fr. Praveen Lakkisetti, supported by five deacons and a full parish staff. Fr. Rodolfo is the public face of the parish — greeting newcomers, leading a southern Italy pilgrimage in 2027, and serving as the Vocations contact on the parish website. Fr. Praveen assists with parochial ministry. Five deacons minister across the parish: Deacon David Seguin, Deacon Michael Cleary, Deacon John Eichelberger, Deacon Brad Wakely (who also coordinates RCIA inquiry), and Deacon Ray Gonzales, Jr., who additionally serves as Facilities Manager. Parish Office & Faith Formation Staff

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Faith Formation at Holy Trinity is organized through a dedicated Faith Formation Office (210-497-4145) led by Director of Religious Education Cristina Hodde. Elementary Religious Education is coordinated by Kristin Casas; Confirmation preparation by Eric Mejia; and Youth Ministry (LIFETEEN & EDGE) by Maddie Kempf. Sacraments
Holy Trinity prepares parishioners for all the major sacraments. Baptisms are arranged through Gaby Estrada (210-497-4200 or [email protected]); English Baptism Classes are held on the last Monday of the month at 7:00 PM, and Spanish classes on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM, with online registration. First Communion is arranged through the Faith Formation Office. Confirmation is coordinated by Eric Mejia. Marriage preparation involves a six-month period and begins by contacting the parish office or Gaby Estrada. Quinceañera preparation is handled by Cristina Hodde at 210-497-4145. The Anointing of the Sick is administered through the parish's Hospital Ministry, which sends commissioned Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to Methodist Hospital Stone Oak and North Central Baptist Hospital to bring Communion and prayer to Catholic patients.

Music Ministry
Music Ministry, led by Director of Music & Liturgy Lucy Tavira, is described as 'a vital part of our liturgical celebrations' and is staffed by 'an all-volunteer group of musically-talented individuals.' The program fields more than 10 different choirs and groups, including Adult and Spanish Choirs, Contemporary Ensembles, the Life Teen Music Ministry, and Cantors. The Holy Trinity Children's Chorus is a choir of parishioners in grades 3 through 7 who sing at two Sunday 9:30 AM Masses each month and rehearse Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:15 PM in the Angel Room. The parish is actively recruiting new singers and musicians across all Masses, including the early-morning 7:30 AM liturgy and the 5:00 PM Youth Mass.

Hospital Ministry
The Holy Trinity Hospital Ministry is a commissioned outreach that brings Holy Communion and prayer to Catholic patients at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak (MHSO) and North Central Baptist Hospital (NCBH). Volunteers must be registered Holy Trinity parishioners, be commissioned Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at the parish, complete Archdiocesan safe-environment training, submit security screening forms, and complete each hospital's own volunteer onboarding — including shadowing an experienced hospital EMHC before being approved to minister on their own.

Knights of Columbus Council 9967
The Holy Trinity Knights of Columbus Council 9967 is among the parish's most enduring organizations. In August 1988, parishioner Ben Paoletta asked Father Fater — then the parish's pastor — about forming a council, and Father Fater heartily endorsed the idea. After an organizing meeting in September 1988 at Encino Park Hall drew 25 men, the Council was chartered by the Supreme Council in December 1988 with 36 charter members. Today the Knights meet in the parish banquet facility, host parish gatherings at the pavilion, lead the rosary in the chapel, and distribute rosaries and prayer booklets to the sick in the hospital. They also contribute to ministry for the hearing impaired across Texas.

Parish Fellowship & Outreach Ministries
Beyond liturgy, Holy Trinity sponsors a wide range of parish-life and outreach ministries. New Beginnings hosts single parishioners 45 and over on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Knights Room of the Banquet Hall (contact Norma Garza at [email protected]). The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the first Tuesday of the month at 1:00 PM in the Family Room of the Banquet Hall. Bridges Beyond Grief (Emily Baril), Alzheimer's Ministry (Janelle Poe / Carol Short), Stephen Ministry (Pam Hughes / John Tracy / Norma Garza), Spiritual Direction (Cynthia Gdula), TEAMS of Our Lady, Respect For Life (Susan Senia), and the Social Concerns Committee (Rolland Cole) round out the pastoral-care network. ACTS Core organizes Men's and Women's three-day, three-night retreats. Bunco offers a social option (Ruth Jones). The parish also maintains a sister-parish relationship with St. Timothy.
