The current parish building carries on the sacramental life of three former Lisbon-area parishes: St. Anne (founded 1885), Ss. Cyril & Methodius (founded 1923), and Holy Family in Lisbon Falls (founded 1888), which together formed Holy Trinity Parish in 1995.

History of Holy Trinity Parish
Holy Trinity Parish traces its roots to three distinct Catholic communities that served the Lisbon area from the late 19th century onward. In 1995, with shifting demographics and changing parish economics across Maine, Bishop Joseph J. Gerry and the Diocese of Portland combined those three communities into a single new parish under the name Holy Trinity. For a quarter-century it operated independently, but on July 1, 2020, Bishop Robert P. Deeley approved Fr. Daniel Greenleaf's recommendation to merge Holy Trinity (Lisbon Falls) and Our Lady of the Rosary (Sabattus) into the larger Prince of Peace Parish in Lewiston, allowing the merged community to 'keep the local traditions' while pooling pastoral and financial resources across the Lewiston–Auburn region.
