Parish History
Holy Trinity was organized in March 1850 when 25 settler families elected trustees and a building committee led by Nicolaus Schwinn. The first church — a 75 x 40-foot brick building with a rose window and steeple — was completed in 1860, with its first Mass celebrated on Easter Monday that year and consecration by Bishop Henni of Milwaukee on December 8, 1861. The parish built a school in 1882 (staffed by the School Sisters of Notre Dame) and a rectory in 1887 under Rev. P. J. Stüpfel, and then replaced the original church with the present edifice, consecrated October 5, 1899 by Archbishop F. X. Katzer. A new rectory followed in 1912; the parish's diamond jubilee history was published in 1934, and a historical affiliation with St. Augustine's Mission dates to 1855.

Devotions
Outside of Mass, Holy Trinity sustains a rhythm of traditional devotions. The Holy Rosary is prayed together on Thursday mornings at 7:30 AM, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet is recited immediately after the 8:00 AM Mass on Thursdays.

Faith Formation

Liturgical Ministries
The parish's Liturgical Ministries page describes a full slate of roles that bring the Mass to life. Ushers greet and seat parishioners, take up the collection, count attendance, and hand out bulletins. Lectors proclaim the scripture readings using an annual Lector workbook. Eucharistic Ministers are confirmed Catholics aged 16 or older who help distribute Communion. Mass Servers assist at Sunday and Holy Day liturgies (a popular role for youth and families; servers must have received First Communion). Sacristans prepare hosts, wine, vessels, and the Book of the Gospels, and clean the vessels after Mass. A separate Environment ministry coordinates seasonal décor — Advent wreaths, Christmas trees, and indoor and outdoor Nativity scenes.
