Holy Trinity Parish is a small Roman Catholic mission parish in Morgantown, Kentucky, in the Diocese of Owensboro. Tucked along Logansport Road in Butler County, the parish serves a bilingual community of English- and Spanish-speaking Catholics, with Sunday Mass celebrated in both languages. It is currently pastored by Fr. Julio Barrera, who also serves Holy Redeemer Parish in nearby Beaver Dam, and it remains one of the smallest Catholic communities in the diocese while still maintaining a weekly presence and outreach ministry to its rural western Kentucky neighbors.

Parish History
Holy Trinity's roots reach back to the summer of 1942, when two Catholic priests — Fr. Clement Borchers and Fr. Raphel Sourd — traveled to Morgantown to meet local residents and introduce them to Catholic teaching. In 1944, Fr. Francis Massarella began working in Butler County and two acres of land on Logansport Road were purchased in the name of the Church. That land remains the parish's home, and the parish has continued as a small, mission-style community sustained for decades by priests serving multiple rural congregations.

Hispanic Ministry
Holy Trinity's 9:15 a.m. Spanish Mass is the centerpiece of its Hispanic ministry, which is staffed in coordination with Holy Redeemer Parish in Beaver Dam. The Hispanic minister, Sr. Aida Badillo of the GHM (Grey Sisters of the Sacred Heart) community, also serves the Hispanic Catholics of Holy Redeemer, and Fr. Barrera is named in the Diocese of Owensboro's Hispanic Pastoral Plan as pastor for the combined Beaver Dam / Morgantown Hispanic ministry.

Outreach & Evangelization
The parish has an active tradition of reaching beyond its walls. In fall 2022, two visiting missionaries lived with Fr. Barrera and used Holy Trinity and Holy Redeemer as a home base to go door-to-door in the Morgantown and Beaver Dam area, inviting neighbors to Mass and to parish Bible studies geared toward adults, young adults, and youth. Fr. Barrera has indicated he hopes to host similar missionary teams again in the future.
