Holy Trinity Catholic Church is a small Roman Catholic parish nestled in the village of Haugen, Wisconsin, serving a congregation of Czechoslovakian and Bohemian heritage. Founded in 1896–97 by Czech Catholic immigrants, the parish takes its name from the Most Blessed Trinity, the central mystery of the Christian faith. Today Holy Trinity is one of four parishes in the 'Four Parishes One Faith' Catholic cluster of northwestern Wisconsin — alongside St. Joseph in Rice Lake, Our Lady of Lourdes in Dobie, and St. John the Evangelist in Birchwood — sharing pastoral staff and ministries under the Diocese of Superior.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church is a small but long-established parish in the village of Haugen, Wisconsin, with roots in the Czech and Bohemian Catholic immigration of the late 19th century. The parish takes its name from the Most Blessed Trinity — the central mystery of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and its very first church was dedicated on the feast of the Most Blessed Trinity in 1901. Today the parish is part of the Four Parishes One Faith cluster of the Diocese of Superior, sharing pastoral and administrative staff with St. Joseph (Rice Lake), Our Lady of Lourdes (Dobie), and St. John the Evangelist (Birchwood).

History of Holy Trinity
The parish's story begins in the spring of 1896, when the first Czech Catholic immigrant bought land and settled in Haugen. In May 1897, Fr. Xavier Till celebrated the first Mass in Haugen at the home of Joseph Vinopal, and permission to build a church was received from Bishop James Schwebach of La Crosse. Mr. Rozolt, a local real estate dealer, donated three acres for the new church, which was dedicated on the feast of the Most Blessed Trinity in 1901. A parish school was begun in 1925 and dedicated on August 14, 1927, under Fr. Adalbert Janda, the parish's first resident pastor (appointed 1914). The present church was built in 1950–51 and blessed by Bishop Albert G. Meyer on July 26, 1951 — the same day that marked the 50th anniversary of the first church and the 25th anniversary of the parish school. With declining enrollment the school closed in 1989; the former Sisters' residence was razed and the rectory was remodeled into the Bishop George A. Hammes Center for Religious Education and Youth Ministry.

Clergy & Pastoral Leadership
Holy Trinity is pastored together with the other three parishes of the cluster. As of the most recent diocesan assignment effective July 1, 2025, Fr. Dan Tracy serves as Parochial Administrator of the Four Parishes One Faith cluster, with Fr. Sagar Thomas Kanna as Parochial Vicar. They succeed Fr. Adam Laski (Pastor) and Fr. Isaiah Schick (Parochial Vicar), whose assignments ended in 2025; Fr. Adam Laski was reassigned to parishes in Iron River, Moquah, Dauby, and Ino, while Fr. Isaiah Schick was sent for canon law studies at The Catholic University of America. Retired priest Fr. Phil Juza continues to assist the cluster as Sacramental Minister. The cluster is also served by Deacon Rod Knight.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Religious education for Holy Trinity families is coordinated at the cluster level. Krystal Montgomery serves as the cluster's Director of Religious Education, with Stephanie Hurtubise coordinating the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program (assisted by Kally Hafstad) and Roland Flasch serving as Director of Evangelization and Discipleship. Stephanie Van Thomme coordinates Youth Ministry across the cluster, and the cluster's faith-formation offices operate out of the Parish Administration Office in Rice Lake.

Worship across the cluster is coordinated by Andre Audette, Director of Worship, working with parish clergy to plan and support liturgy, music, and the liturgical seasons. Cluster School: St. Joseph Catholic School
Although Holy Trinity's own parish school closed in 1989, families in the cluster today are served by St. Joseph Catholic School in Rice Lake, which shares the cluster's Catholic identity. The school is led by Principal Jerry Van Dyke, with Julie Mazourek as School Secretary and Emily Hagen as Director of Marketing & Advancement. Note that parish-school enrollment and academics are administered separately from the parish cluster office.

Getting Involved
Parishioners of Holy Trinity are invited to take part in the full life of the Four Parishes One Faith cluster — from liturgical ministries and the choir at Sunday Mass, to faith-formation catechists, youth ministry, RCIA sponsors, the perpetual adoration rotation, and the cluster's social and outreach efforts.
