History of the Parish
According to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis' 175th anniversary timeline, Holy Trinity's first church was dedicated in 1851, the same year several other Indiana Catholic churches were erected. The parish was later 'elevated to parochial status' under Rev. Richard Zore as administrator, formalizing what had begun as a mission church. The Festival Country Indiana historic walking tour notes that the present building was constructed in 1851 from a pre-existing structure for $4,500, but the congregation did not move into the finished building until 1883. Holy Trinity has been a continuous Catholic presence in Edinburgh for more than 160 years.

Parish Staff & Sacramental Ministers
Holy Trinity is shepherded by a small team that includes a pastor, a pastoral associate, a deacon, and two assisting sacramental ministers. Fr. Chris Wadelton serves as pastor; Amalia Cisneros is the pastoral associate and main point of contact at the office; and Deacon Jorge Arturo Sánchez Leaños assists with parish ministry, particularly with the Spanish-speaking community. Sacramental coverage is provided by Fr. Wadelton along with Fr. Ashok Valabazzi and Fr. Clement T. Davis.

Worship, Formation & Fellowship
Beyond the Mass schedule, Holy Trinity supports a wide range of devotional and fellowship life: a bilingual weekly rosary, time for personal prayer in the church on weekday afternoons, a homebound Communion ministry, Sunday coffee-and-donuts fellowship after the English Mass, and a year-round Faith Formation program for children and youth that ends with a celebration Mass in May.

Faith Formation & Youth Ministry
Faith Formation for Children and Youth runs throughout the academic year, with classes typically meeting around the Sunday morning schedule and a culminating celebration at the end of the program year. The parish also sends a delegation to the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC), with adult chaperones required to be Safe and Sacred trained and background-checked through the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. In addition, Holy Trinity hosts archdiocesan-level Skills Workshops on its campus for parish ministry leaders across central Indiana.

Parish Governance & Councils
Holy Trinity is led collaboratively by a Parish Council and a Finance Council, in keeping with standard Archdiocese of Indianapolis parish governance. The Parish Council is chaired by Lynn Schaub and includes both English- and Spanish-speaking members; the Finance Council is chaired by Terry Robinholt. Together they share responsibility for the mission, budget, and life of the parish.

Outreach & Community
The parish lives out its mission 'by caring for those in need,' with regular support of the Edinburgh Ministerial Association Food Pantry. A donation basket in the parish center collects non-perishable food plus health and beauty items, and volunteers help stock and distribute food several times each month. The parish also runs a Community Speaker Series, hosting local experts on topics such as mental health (e.g. a recent talk with Julie Osborn of Mental Health Matters at Columbus Regional Health on 'Stress Less, Live More').
