Holy Trinity Catholic Parish is a small Roman Catholic community located on the southern Oregon Coast in Bandon, Oregon. Founded in 1883, it is the second-oldest Catholic church on the Oregon Coast and serves as the home parish for the people of Bandon and St. John the Baptist Mission in Port Orford. Pastored by Fr. Anthony Ahamefule under the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon, the parish is currently building a new church on its historical hilltop property overlooking Bandon and the Pacific Ocean. Its mission statement is: 'To be a welcoming Catholic community committed to love, prayer, and service!'

History of Holy Trinity
The parish was established in 1883 on a hill overlooking Bandon and the Pacific Ocean. The original church was destroyed in the catastrophic 1936 Bandon fire. Within about five months, a new church was erected for approximately $3,000 — a deliberately modest, temporary structure that nonetheless served the community faithfully for 88 years. For more than 140 years the parish has been a 'light by the sea' for coastal residents and visitors, marking baptisms, weddings, anniversaries, and times of hardship.

A Light by the Sea — Capital Campaign for the New Church
By the early 2020s, parish leadership determined that the 1937 church could not meet modern needs. In 2022 Fr. Anthony Ahamefule established a Building Committee to develop a master plan, and in spring 2023 the parish held a 'Forum of the Faithful' town hall to gather input. The resulting capital campaign, 'A Light by the Sea Since 1883,' set out to raise about $2.3–2.5 million and reached nearly $2.5 million in pledges from only several hundred parishioners. Construction began in 2025, with groundbreaking on July 13, 2025, joined by Auxiliary Bishop Peter Smith of the Archdiocese of Portland. As of January 2026, the roof, exterior siding, and bell tower have been installed.

Devotions and Outreach
The parish maintains a tradition of praying the Rosary before Sunday Mass and before the 1st Saturday Mass. Once a month Fr. Anthony celebrates Mass at Pacific View Assisted Living, bringing the Eucharist and the sacraments to elderly members of the wider coastal community.
