History and Heritage
Holy Spirit Parish traces its roots to early Catholic settlers in Tuscaloosa and the 1844 founding of St. John the Baptist Parish. The current parish was established on the east side of Tuscaloosa in the late 1950s, with its church dedicated in 1965. A new sanctuary opened in 2009, incorporating stained glass, statues, and artwork from the original church.

Liturgy and Worship
The parish celebrates the Eucharist daily and offers multiple Sunday Masses in English and Spanish. Confessions are heard each Saturday afternoon, and Masses are livestreamed for the homebound or those traveling.

Faith Formation and Outreach
