Holy Spirit Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in the Diocese of La Crosse serving Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Officially established on July 1, 2015, it was formed by the merger of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish (the historic Polish-founded parish, established 1918) and Newman University Parish (the campus ministry established in 1970 for UW-Stevens Point students). The parish remains rooted in its historic St. Stanislaus Kostka church on Stanley Street, while running Point Catholic, an active campus ministry serving both UW-Stevens Point and Mid-State Technical College students.

Holy Spirit Parish welcomes both longtime Stevens Point Catholics and the many students who pass through UW-Stevens Point and Mid-State Technical College each year. As a merged parish carrying forward a 100-year-old Polish Catholic heritage and a half-century of campus ministry, it offers daily Mass (Tuesday through Friday), a Sunday Student Mass at 6 p.m., weekly Confession and Eucharistic Adoration, FOCUS-led Bible studies, OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults), and a full calendar of parish socials, faith-formation programs, and social-justice outreach rooted in its motto, 'Disciples United in Worship, Welcoming to all, Working for Justice and Peace.'

Parish History & Identity
Holy Spirit Parish was officially established on July 1, 2015, combining two longstanding Catholic communities in Stevens Point: St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish (founded in the years after 1916 by Polish immigrant families with Bishop Paul Peter Rhode's support and Father Anton Malkowski as first pastor) and Newman University Parish (established in 1970 by Bishop Frederick Freking to serve Catholic students at UW-Stevens Point). The merged parish retains the historic St. Stanislaus Kostka church on Stanley Street while continuing a robust campus ministry now called Point Catholic. Fr. Steve Brice is the current pastor, and the parish is part of the Diocese of La Crosse.

Point Catholic Campus Ministry
Point Catholic is the parish's campus ministry and serves both UW-Stevens Point and Mid-State Technical College students. Its mission is to cultivate a community of faith that empowers and supports students to grow as disciples of Christ through spiritual and sacramental formation, service, community-building, and social-justice outreach, so that by graduation students are 'ready to live the Gospel out in the world, and be able to fully participate in the life of a parish.' Point Catholic hosts a student Mass on Sundays at 6:00 PM and Wednesdays at 8:00 PM, weekly FOCUS-led Bible studies, retreats, and student suppers.

The Sacred Worship Committee organizes the liturgical ministries — Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, ushers, altar servers, lectors, musicians, sacristans, funeral ministers, and church cleaners. Sharon Maes directs the choir, and Tom Karlen oversees the Linen Ministry. Seasonal liturgy planning is led by Fr. Steve Brice.

The Matthew 25 ministry (Patricia Boylan), SPASH Breakfast Program (Marilyn Slusarski), and Haiti Mission Team (Deacon Rick Letto) extend the parish's service beyond Stevens Point, supported through mission trips and parish fundraisers.

Facilities & Campus
The parish worships in the historic St. Stanislaus Kostka church at 2151 Stanley Street — the same building dedicated originally in 1918 and renovated over the decades. A new Ministry Center, dedicated by Bishop William Patrick Callahan on March 8, 2020, serves as a gathering space for funerals, weddings, faith formation, fellowship, and parish organizations. Holy Spirit Parish is located in the heart of campus, right beside the Dreyfus Center on the UW-Stevens Point campus.
