Good Shepherd Pastorate

In 2022, The Sioux Falls Catholic Diocese embarked on the Set Ablaze process to aid in planning for the future of the Catholic Church in the Sioux Falls Diocese. Pastorates, or groupings of Catholic churches under a single pastor, were formed. Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Sioux Falls and St. Dominic Catholic Church in Canton have been joined in a pastorate under the leadership of Father James Mason. After much planning, discussion, and prayer, Good Shepherd Pastorate was chosen as the name for the pastorate. Holy Spirit and St. Dominic have a joint Pastoral Council and separate Finance Councils, which meet monthly.
