Holy Spirit Parish in Saginaw, Michigan, welcomes all to its community of faith, rooted in the Holy Spirit’s presence as described in Acts 2:1-4. Established in 1959, the parish offers regular Masses, sacraments, and ministries for all ages, including faith formation, youth ministry, and RCIA. The parish office is open Monday–Thursday, and services are available in English. The parish is active in outreach, including live-streamed Masses and community events.

About Us

Holy Spirit Parish was established on September 29, 1959. The parish welcomes all and is rooted in the Holy Spirit’s presence as described in Acts 2:1-4. The parish office is open Monday–Thursday, 8 am–4 pm, and services are available in English.

Staff

The parish is led by Rev. Peter Gaspeny, Pastor, and Deacon Jason Rasmussen. Staff includes Lori Becker (Christian Service), Debbie Buckstiegel (Director of Faith Formation), Mary Dierich (Adult Formation Coordinator), Ryan McCauslin (Minister of Music), Anne Sielinski (Business Manager), Angela Sielinski (Administrative Assistant), Jeff Goulette (Maintenance), and Peg McEvoy (Communications).

Sacraments

Sacraments offered include Baptism, Reconciliation, Matrimony, and Anointing of the Sick. Reconciliation is available Saturdays at 4:00 pm and by appointment. Matrimony requires contact with the pastor at least six months in advance. Anointing of the Sick is held the first weekend of each month after Mass.

Ministries

Ministries include Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, RCIA, Adult Formation, Music Ministry, Christian Service, and Communications. The parish also offers summer activities and online giving via ShelbyNext Giving.
