History
Holy Spirit Catholic Parish was founded in 1997. It continues the Catholic presence in Newport, Kentucky, which began with earlier parishes including Corpus Christi (1853), St. Stephen (1854), Immaculate Conception (1855; closed 1969), St. Francis de Sales (1911), and St. Vincent de Paul (1915).
