A Eparchial Moment: The Enthronement of Bishop Robert Pipta (Nov. 8, 2023)
On the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, November 8, 2023, Metropolitan Archbishop William C. Skurla ordained Father Robert M. Pipta as the sixth Bishop of the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Parma at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy celebrated at Holy Resurrection. Fifteen archbishops and bishops were present, along with Cardinal Christophe Pierre (Apostolic Nuncio to the United States), 92 priests and deacons, a 76-voice choir and roughly 300 faithful. The evening before, November 7, Bishop-elect Pipta had made his Profession of Faith at Vespers in the same church.
