About Holy Redeemer · Burton, Michigan

Holy Redeemer Church is a Roman Catholic parish in Burton, Michigan, located in Genesee County just south of Flint. A member of the Diocese of Lansing, it was founded in 1940 and grew rapidly in the post-war era as General Motors families settled in the area, opening a K-12 school in 1946 that at its height enrolled over 1,000 students. The parish is currently led by Fr. Tom Nenneau (administrator), alongside a team of deacons and lay staff. Holy Redeemer is notable for offering a weekly American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted Mass on Sunday mornings and operating a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel established in 1993.

Why belong here

Holy Redeemer welcomes new parishioners with clear registration and a stated mission of fostering family life, unity, and faithful community grounded in love and service. The parish offers a rare American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted Sunday Mass at 11:00 a.m., making it a regional draw for deaf and hard-of-hearing Catholics. A dedicated Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel (open 24/7 with key fob access) and a monthly Encounter night of praise, worship and confession give parishioners deep devotional opportunities, while ministries spanning youth, music, RCIA, faith formation, outreach, and a Family Life Center give families many ways to belong.
