About Holy Name Parish
Holy Name is a Roman Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Denver serving the Sheridan/Englewood area south of Denver. According to the parish's About page, it is proud to be part of the Archdiocese of Denver and its mission 'to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, celebrate his Sacraments, and exercise his works of mercy.' The parish has been served by priests of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae (Sodalits), and in 2018 Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila dedicated a new altar and blessed the remodeled sanctuary. The St. Agnes Center was remodeled in 2017 to create new offices, meeting rooms, and event spaces.

Sacred Music & Liturgy
The Church teaches that 'the musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art.' Because of this, Holy Name's musical selections give Gregorian chant 'pride of place,' include some of the best traditional English hymns, and incorporate the propers of the Mass. At the 10:30 Mass, the schola sings polyphonic motets. Those interested in joining the choir can contact Director of Sacred Music Angie Woods.

OCIA — Becoming Catholic
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the Church's formal process by which a person encounters Christ, learns about Christianity, grows in relationship with God, and becomes a follower of Jesus. OCIA involves intellectual formation, moral conversion, and spiritual growth, gradually introducing participants to the riches of the Catholic faith, the celebration of the Sacraments, the lives of the Saints, and the Christian way of life. Outreach & Charity
Outreach is a central part of parish life at Holy Name, with programs addressing homelessness, material need, and isolation of the elderly and homebound.

- Christ in the City (Homeless Outreach) — weekly Wednesday Lunch in the Park and 2nd-Saturday lunch downtown; Holy Name sponsors several lunches a year; volunteers, food donations, and funds accepted
- St. Vincent de Paul Society — provides rental and utility assistance through home visits and follow-up to those in parish boundaries

Holy Name is home to a number of fraternal, devotional, and social organizations that meet regularly in the St. Agnes Center and elsewhere on campus.

Sodalit Community at Holy Name
Holy Name Parish is served by members of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae (Sodalits), a community of priests and consecrated laymen dedicated to radical evangelical availability. The Sodalits live and serve at the parish; in 2025 the community celebrated the ordination of Fr. Juan Fernando Sardi as a priest and two community members making perpetual promises of full apostolic availability. According to Fr. Daniel Cardó, the parish had previously grown significantly — in numbers and programming — with only one priest, and welcomed the arrival of additional priestly help to expand confession, retreats, and service to the Hispanic community through a weekly Spanish Mass.
