Holy Korean Martyrs Catholic Church is a Korean-language Roman Catholic parish in San Jose, California, part of the Diocese of San Jose. It is named in honor of the 103 Korean martyrs — led by St. Andrew Kim Taegon and St. Paul Chong Hasang — who gave their lives for the faith in 19th-century Korea and were canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1984. The parish traces its roots to the Sts. Andrew and Paul Korean Catholic Mission, established in a remodeled storage building in Sunnyvale, and today serves roughly 1,200 active parishioners from its home on McLaughlin Avenue, where Mass is celebrated in Korean and English.

Parish History
The community traces its roots to Sts. Andrew and Paul Korean Catholic Mission, which was first established in a remodeled storage building in Sunnyvale. In 2005, Bishop Patrick McGrath of the Diocese of San José recognized the mission as a full parish and gave it the name Holy Korean Martyrs, honoring the 103 Korean saints who gave their lives for the faith in 19th-century persecutions. Within a few years the rapidly growing community outgrew its facilities, and in 2013 the parish moved to its current home at 1523 McLaughlin Avenue in San Jose, where Bishop McGrath celebrated the Dedication Mass on October 27, 2013.

Patron: The Holy Korean Martyrs
The parish takes its name from the 103 Korean martyrs — led by St. Andrew Kim Taegon, the first Korean-born Catholic priest, and the lay apostle St. Paul Chong Hasang — who were killed in waves of persecution in 1839, 1846, and 1866. They were canonized by Pope John Paul II in Seoul on May 6, 1984 — the first canonization ceremony ever held outside Rome — and their feast is celebrated on September 20 in the universal Church.

Faith Formation & Youth Ministry
Holy Korean Martyrs runs a full faith-formation track for children and youth, along with two young-adult groups. Programs meet during the week and on Saturdays, and registration is handled through the parish office.

Korean School
The parish runs a Saturday Korean School that provides Bay Area children an outstanding program in Korean language and cultural heritage. It complements religious education by connecting the younger generation to their Korean Catholic identity.

Outreach & Charity
The parish lives out its mission to 'serve all, especially those most in need' through the St. Vincent de Paul Society and a Bereavement Ministry that walks with families through the loss of a loved one. Parishioners also support ongoing campus improvement campaigns.
