Parish History
Holy Innocents - St. Barnabas carries the legacy of two parishes that grew out of Sacred Heart in Roseville across the 20th century. St. Barnabas was established in 1955 in Eastpointe under Father Louis Evon and began life as a storefront mission on 10 Mile Road; Holy Innocents grew on the Frazho Road side of Roseville and eventually built a school that was rented to a charter school for many years. In 2006 the two parishes formally merged, sharing clergy and ministries while continuing separate Mass schedules. In 2021, after the charter-school tenant left the old Holy Innocents school and the income loss could not be replaced, the Eastpointe St. Barnabas site held its final Mass. The combined community carries on today at 16359 Frazho Road under the name Holy Innocents - St. Barnabas.

Our Mission
The parish states its mission plainly: "Holy Innocents - St. Barnabas is a Catholic parish family — strong in faith, professing our beliefs, thanking God for His blessings, praying that those not knowing Him may come to know Him through us." Christian Mothers Altar Society (CMAS)
