History of Holy Family Parish
Holy Family began as a Catholic mission church in 1968 to serve the rural communities around Williston in Levy County. Members broke ground on their own church building on December 13, 1970, and Bishop Paul Tanner blessed and dedicated the finished church the following year, giving it the name the members had chosen: Holy Family. In 1975, the mission was elevated to a full parish of the Diocese of St. Augustine. Half a century later, on December 29, 2018, Bishop Felipe Estévez returned to celebrate the parish's 50th anniversary Mass alongside Father Manny Lopez (then pastor) and Father John Phillips, pastor of Holy Faith in Gainesville. A reception with dinner and a history slideshow followed.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Religious education for children and adults is coordinated through the parish office by the Director of Religious Education. Preparation for the sacraments — Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage — is handled through the parish, and the bulletin regularly calls parishioners to register children for faith formation classes.

Parish Ministries & Outreach
Holy Family runs a wide variety of ministries and outreach efforts for the Williston community. The Angel House Thrift Shop raises funds for parish and charitable works, while the Knights of Columbus sponsor the Pope John Paul I Assembly 1777 and coordinate the annual drive for homeless veterans at the Ocala Ritz Veterans Village.
