History
Holy Family opened in 1912, more than a century ago, and has served the Catholic families of the Rutherford area ever since. Because Rutherford itself never supported a full independent parish, the chapel has always functioned as a mission — first under other nearby parishes and now under St. Joan of Arc in Yountville, roughly five miles away. Generations of Napa Valley wine families have worshipped here; the Navone family, whose vineyard supplies Silver Oak, traces the start of that relationship to a conversation at Sunday Mass at Holy Family in the early 1990s.
