Parish Life and History
Holy Family was founded in 1955 to serve the growing south-side Catholic community of Pueblo. Eight years later, in 1963, Holy Family School opened with eight grades, becoming a cornerstone of parish identity and continuing to anchor the parish's family mission. The parish is part of the Diocese of Pueblo, created in 1941, and today is part of a diocese led by Bishop Stephen Jay Berg.

Faith Formation and Religious Education
The parish runs a continuum of faith formation programs for children, youth, and adults, anchored by the 'Families Forming Disciples' model in which families meet monthly for lessons that can be done on-site or remotely.

O.C.I.A. — Becoming Catholic
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (O.C.I.A.), formerly known as RCIA, walks inquirers through the four periods — Pre-Catechumenate, Catechumenate, Purification and Enlightenment, and Mystagogy — from September through May, concluding with the Easter Vigil at Sacred Heart Cathedral area parishes.

Liturgical Ministries
Parishioners of all ages serve the Mass through a robust set of liturgical ministries. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are commissioned by the Diocese on the Solemnities of Corpus Christi and Christ the King and serve at Mass, in hospitals, nursing homes, and for the homebound.

Sacraments and Pastoral Care
In addition to regular Sunday and weekday Masses, Holy Family celebrates all the sacraments of the Church. Edgar Millan serves as the main contact for funeral planning (Mass of Resurrection), weddings, and Quinceañera rehearsals, and prepares certificates for Baptisms, First Communion, Confirmation, and Weddings.
