History & Heritage
Holy Family has roots going back to 1944, when the former Sisters' House from Our Lady of Perpetual Help was moved to the corner of Hidalgo and San Antonio Streets and used as the parish's first building. It was formally established as a parish in the Archdiocese of San Antonio in September 1964, and from early on was entrusted to the Missionaries of the Holy Family (M.S.F.), who had first arrived in New Braunfels back in 1926. The M.S.F. charism of modeling parish life on the Holy Family of Nazareth continues to shape the community today.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Holy Family's Faith Formation program serves children, youth, and adults in both English and Spanish. The program is coordinated by Sylvia Castillo, who publishes bilingual end-of-year thank-you notes to catechists, volunteers, parents, students, parishioners, and parish staff each season. Liturgical Ministries
The parish invites parishioners to serve in liturgical roles — both visible and behind-the-scenes. Ushers work in teams of six to welcome worshippers and assist with collection and communion flow. Altar Servers must have received First Communion and be active in the parish. The Music Ministry welcomes cantors and instrumentalists.

Parish Pantry & Charity Outreach
Holy Family Parish operates a Parish Pantry and Assistance Program that shares blessings with neighbors in New Braunfels who are going through temporary hardship. Donations are accepted weekly and can be dropped off at the parish office Monday–Friday or in the church entry when attending Mass. Monetary donations go to a Charity Fund that helps with utility or rental assistance. All requests are handled with compassion and confidentiality.

Knights of Columbus Council #4183
The parish is home to Knights of Columbus Council #4183, based at 111 Landa Street, New Braunfels. The Knights are open to practicing Catholic men aged 18 and older in union with the Holy See. They support the parish through Fellowship Sundays with donuts, coffee, and juice after Mass, and through evangelization efforts.

Friends of the Holy Family Prayer Association
Through its ties to the Missionaries of the Holy Family, Holy Family invites parishioners to join the Friends of the Holy Family prayer association. There are no fees to join, and members receive a free Holy Family religious medal and a pocket prayer book. The partnership is rooted in the M.S.F. mission to support families in prayer.

Visit & Contact
Parishioners and visitors are warmly welcomed ('Welcome y Bienvenidos!'). The parish office is open during posted weekday and weekend hours and the Sanctuary Lamp burns continuously before the tabernacle as a reminder of Christ's sacramental presence. Donations for the lamp in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving can be arranged through the office.
