Holy Family Catholic Church is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Roman Catholic parish in the Diocese of Stockton, located at 4524 Tully Road in northern Modesto, California. Founded in 2006 from the mission territory of the Modesto–Salida area, the parish describes itself as "A Family of Families" and a "Family of Many Families," built around three core values — Celebrate our Faith, Love our Family, and Serve our Community. What began as a small faith community of about 250 families meeting in a school cafeteria and a chapel in Salida has grown into a parish of roughly 1,400 registered families, celebrated today with a full schedule of daily and Sunday Masses, weekday Eucharistic Adoration, regular confessions, and an annual Fiesta honoring Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos.

Our Story
Holy Family Catholic Church is a young, growing bilingual parish of the Diocese of Stockton. Its mission statement is bilingual and reads: 'As a family of many families, Holy Family Catholic Church nurtures our universal commitment to celebrate our faith, to love our families and to serve communities.' The parish takes its identity from the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, deliberately positioning itself around the pastoral care of family life today.

Bilingual Ministry and the Salida Chapel
From its first year the parish has maintained a bilingual Mass schedule in both English and Spanish, and continues to operate its original satellite worship site, Capilla Nuestra Señora de San Juan de los Lagos, at 4643 Flint Avenue in Salida. The chapel hosts weekday Mass and Adoration and serves as a hub of the parish's Hispanic ministry, including the annual Fiesta in honor of Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos each August 15th weekend.

Building Our Future Together
In 2012 the Diocese of Stockton secured a property trade for the parish's Tully Road site, and in 2014 Holy Family obtained a Use permit and began planning its permanent church campus at Tully Road and Bangs. Later that year the parish launched the 'Building Our Future Together' capital campaign, in which 260 families pledged $1.5 million toward construction. The Building Steering Committee continues to guide this phase of the parish's growth.

Faith Formation and Sacraments
Holy Family prepares parishioners of all ages for a life of Catholic discipleship through its Religious Education program, parish sacramental preparation, and the celebration of the Sacraments of Confirmation (administered by the Bishop), Reconciliation, and the Eucharist. Confirmation is celebrated each year at the parish by the Bishop of Stockton.

Get Involved
Parishioners are invited to grow in their Catholic faith through the parish's councils, committees and pastoral organizations. From its founding the parish has been led collaboratively by lay councils under pastoral guidance, and that tradition continues today through pastoral organizations that support worship, formation, outreach and the building project.
