Founded in 1957, it serves the area west of Appleton Avenue, originally split from St. Mary Parish. The parish also honors the ancestral lands of the Menominee and Chippewa tribes.

Parish History
Good Shepherd Parish began in 1957 with the arrival of its first pastor, Fr. Fran Eschweiler, who split from St. Mary Parish. The parish initially worshiped in a theater on Main Street before moving to its current location on Christman Road. Fr. Fran visited every home in the parish during his first year and built strong community ties. The parish school and rectory were built in the following years, and the parish has grown steadily since its founding.
