Good Shepherd Catholic Community is a parish of the Diocese of Fort Worth, located at 1000 Tinker Road in Colleyville, Texas, and staffed by Franciscan Friars Third Order Regular (TOR). Good Shepherd Catholic Community is a parish of the Diocese of Fort Worth, staffed by Franciscan Friars Third Order Regular. Parish History
Bishop Joseph Delaney of the Diocese of Fort Worth established Good Shepherd as a new parish in 1992, with significant foundational contributions from Sr. Theresa Khirallah and Sr. Dorothy Eggering. Fr. Richard arrived as the first resident pastor in 2007, retired a $2.7 million debt within eighteen months, and led an era of growth that included 60+ new ministries, construction of a daily chapel, music rehearsal room, and a new friary for the resident Franciscan friars. More recently the parish has expanded faith-formation space and purchased a building in downtown Colleyville to partner with Catholic Charities and operate the Franciscan Evangelization Center.

The parish is led by a pastor and two parochial vicars, all Franciscan Friars of the TOR. Four deacons assist, and an extended staff (Business Manager, Director of Faith Formation, Director of Music & Liturgy, Executive Assistant, etc.) supports parish operations. A Parish Lead Team meets weekly with the pastor for guidance on staff and parish organization.

Mass and the Sacraments
Good Shepherd offers five weekend Masses and weekday Mass six days a week, with incense used at the 9:00 am and 11:00 am Sunday Masses (and during Christmas and Easter seasons). The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered three times each week, and Eucharistic Adoration runs almost every day, including a weekly Family Adoration hour.

Faith Formation
Lifelong Faith Formation spans preschool through high school, with a dedicated preschool (Little Lambs), a K–5 program (Young Disciple Adventures, Wed evenings), Middle Ministries for grades 6–8, and Renovate for grades 9–12. Sacramental preparation for First Communion and Confirmation is integrated into the formation pathways, with separate Confirmation registration deadlines.

Beyond children's programs, Good Shepherd runs ongoing adult faith formation, Small Church Communities that meet twice a month in homes, the Alpha program for those exploring Christianity, Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) retreats for men and women, and OCIA (formerly RCIA) for those becoming Catholic or completing initiation.

Pastoral Care and Outreach
The parish maintains Stephen Ministry for people in difficult seasons and GriefShare for those who have lost a loved one, and it partners with Catholic Charities to serve the wider Colleyville community. The Franciscan Evangelization Center extends the parish's presence to a visible storefront on Colleyville's main street.

Good Shepherd families commonly enroll children at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Grapevine (Pre-K through 8), a classical-education school shared by Good Shepherd, St. Francis of Assisi in Grapevine, and St. Michael in Bedford.
