About Epiphany of Our Lord · North Collins, New York

Epiphany of Our Lord is a Roman Catholic parish serving the Langford/North Collins area of southern Erie County in Western New York, within the Diocese of Buffalo. The parish was formed in 2006 by the merger of three earlier Catholic communities — St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception (New Oregon), St. Martin of Tours (Langford), and St. Frances Cabrini (Collins Center) — and now worships at its site on Sisson Highway (Route 75). It is one of five parishes of the Catholic Family of the Holy Rosary (Family #27 in the Diocese's Road to Renewal), led by Pastor Rev. Piotr Zaczynski alongside Senior Parochial Vicar Rev. Mitch Byeck and Parochial Vicar Rev. Innocent O. Diala, with Deacon Wally Samick assigned to the family.

Parish Identity and Heritage

Epiphany of Our Lord Parish was created in 2006 by the Diocese of Buffalo from the merger of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in New Oregon, St. Martin of Tours in Langford, and St. Frances Cabrini in Collins Center. It carries the name of the great feast commemorating the manifestation of Christ to the Magi, celebrated each January 6. Worship is consolidated at the Langford site on Sisson Highway, where the parish maintains its rectory, offices, and worship space.

Catholic Family of the Holy Rosary (Family #27)

Under the Diocese of Buffalo's Road to Renewal initiative, Epiphany of Our Lord is grouped with four neighboring parishes to form the Catholic Family of the Holy Rosary (Vicariate Family #27, Southern Tier West). The family shares pastoral leadership and collaborates on sacramental life, faith formation, and evangelization across the southern Erie County / northern Cattaraugus County region.

Clergy and Pastoral Staff

The parish is staffed as part of Family #27. Following the May 2023 assignments announced by Bishop Michael W. Fisher, Rev. Piotr Zaczynski serves as Pastor, with Rev. Mitch Byeck as Senior Parochial Vicar and Rev. Innocent O. Diala as Parochial Vicar. Deacon Wally Samick is assigned to the family. Parish office staff include a secretary, bookkeeper, and ministry coordinators.

Devotions and Sacramental Life

The parish keeps traditional Catholic devotional life active with monthly Anointing of the Sick and observance of First Friday and First Saturday devotions. These complement regular access to Confession and the daily Mass schedule.

Safe Environment coordination is shared by Jennifer Comstock and Toni Wittmeyer, and Respect Life efforts are coordinated by Michelle Zemla.
