About Duplicate Parish- Delete · Detroit, Michigan
Detroit Catholic Campus Ministry (DCCM) is the Archdiocese of Detroit's unified Catholic campus ministry serving college students at Wayne State University, the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Henry Ford College, Schoolcraft College, the College for Creative Studies, Wayne County Community College District, and surrounding campuses. Led by full-time chaplain Fr. Matthew Hood, DCCM exists, in its own words, for students 'to encounter Jesus Christ, to grow as disciples and to be sent out to witness to Him on campus and throughout their lives.'

Our Lady of the Rosary Church — Building History
Our Lady of the Rosary Church at 5930 Woodward Avenue has its own substantial history separate from (and predating) the 2021 campus ministry. It was built in 1893–1896 as St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, with an earlier St. Joseph's Memorial Chapel — a gift of Mrs. L.R. Medbury — consecrated in 1884. When St. Joseph's merged with St. Paul's Cathedral in 1906, the building was sold in 1907 to Father Francis J. VanAntwerp and rededicated as Our Lady of the Rosary Roman Catholic Church. The nave was extended and an oversized gilded statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary was placed atop the south tower's hipped roof. The complex was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on August 3, 1982.
