The Dormition of the Mother of God is a Ukrainian Catholic parish in Phoenix, Arizona, serving a community rooted in Byzantine Rite traditions. Founded in 1957 by a small group of Ukrainian immigrants, the parish began as a mission in a Sisters’ Chapel and has since grown into a vibrant spiritual home. The parish is led by Very Rev. Hugo Soutus, who has served as pastor since 1996. It offers regular Divine Liturgy, confession, adoration, and a range of ministries, welcoming both newcomers and longtime members with a spirit of neighborly love and devotion.
