Divine Providence Catholic Church is a bilingual Roman Catholic parish of the Archdiocese of San Antonio located on Old Pearsall Road on the city's Southwest Side. History of the Parish
Divine Providence was established as a parish on September 29, 1981, according to GCatholic's records, and has grown into a bilingual worshipping community serving the neighborhoods along Old Pearsall Road inside Loop 410. Over the decades the parish has built a strong devotional life — including perpetual weekday adoration and monthly Nocturnal Adoration — alongside its sacramental and outreach ministries.

Father Eduardo Morales — 'Father Eddy'
Fr. Eduardo Morales, affectionately known as 'Father Eddy,' is a San Antonio-area priest who served as pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde during the May 2022 Robb Elementary School tragedy, presiding over 11 funerals in the two weeks following the shooting. In September 2023, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy presented him with the Surgeon General's Medallion — the highest civilian honor the office can award — for the pastoral care and community-healing work he led. He was subsequently appointed pastor of Divine Providence Catholic Church in San Antonio, effective July 1, 2023.

Devotions
Alongside daily and monthly adoration, the parish gathers for the Divine Mercy Chaplet each Thursday afternoon in the chapel.
