History of the Parish
Catholic life in the Fruitland area stretches back more than a century. The parish traces its roots to two earlier parishes — Holy Family, whose church was built in 1899 and again in 1950, and St. Aloysius, built in 1904. In 1999 those two parishes were merged under a new name, Corpus Christi. After several years in combined facilities, the parish built a brand-new church between 2006 and 2007, and it was dedicated on September 5, 2007. Artifacts and stained-glass windows from the original churches were incorporated into the new worship space so that the heritage of both predecessor parishes remains visible in the present sanctuary.

Architecture and Campus
The Corpus Christi campus is a modern Catholic complex designed to serve a growing bilingual congregation. The main church is anchored by a 77-foot Clarion bell tower and opens into a gathering area finished in Ariscroft stone, where a multi-level baptismal font serves as a central focal point. The main chapel seats approximately 600 and is finished with a striking 1x6 stained tongue-and-groove ceiling. A day chapel, separated from the nave by a floor-to-ceiling curved glass wall, visually echoes the main altar. The grounds also include a prayer garden with columbarium niches and a separate parish hall with classrooms, a kitchen, restrooms and parish offices.

Clergy and Pastoral Staff
Corpus Christi is currently served by Father Francisco Godínez, JCL, MCL, who was named pastor of the parish in July 2018. Father Godínez was ordained in Boise in 2010 and previously served in Coeur d'Alene, St. Maries and Rupert before earning his degrees in Canon Law at St. Paul University in Ottawa. He succeeded Father Camilo García, who had administered the parish from 2015 until his 2018 reassignment to St. Nicholas Parish in Rupert. The Diocese of Boise directory lists Father Godínez as the pastor at Corpus Christi in Fruitland.

Bilingual Parish Life (English / Spanish)
Reflecting the demographics of southwestern Idaho's Treasure Valley, Corpus Christi runs as a fully bilingual parish. Sunday worship includes both an English Mass and a Spanish Mass, weekday Spanish Masses are offered twice a week, and the Saturday Vigil and most weekday Masses are celebrated in English. Confession is regularly available in a Spanish-friendly Thursday evening hour, and all parishioners are welcomed in either language.
