Corpus Christi Catholic Church is a young, rapidly growing Catholic parish in Aldie, Virginia, in the heart of Loudoun County's wine country within the Diocese of Arlington. Established as a mission in 2005 and made a parish in 2014, the community spent more than two decades gathering for Mass in local public school cafeterias, gyms and auditoriums before its cruciform Gothic-style church — seating more than 1,100 — was dedicated by Bishop Michael F. Burbidge in May 2021. Today the parish is led by founding pastor Very Reverend Michael G. Taylor, V.F., with parochial vicar Rev. Devaraju (Devan) Arockiasamy and Deacon Peter Reyda, and serves roughly 5,700 registered families with a vibrant mix of ministries in religious education, OCIA, outreach, music, and cultural communities such as Couples for Christ and a Filipino Simbang Gabi tradition.

History & Founding
Corpus Christi's story begins in 2000, when St. Stephen the Martyr in Middleburg began offering Masses in South Riding so local Catholics wouldn't have to drive each week. In 2005 Bishop Paul S. Loverde declared the community a mission of St. Stephen; on November 23, 2014 — the feast of Christ the King — he established it as an independent parish, the 69th in the Diocese of Arlington. For 21 years parishioners worshipped in school cafeterias, gyms and auditoriums at Little River Elementary, Hutchison Farm Elementary, John Champe High School, and St. Paul VI Catholic High School, while a daily prayer to St. Joseph asked for 'a church and a stable home.' The diocese acquired 18 acres off Route 50 in Aldie, raised $5 million, broke ground in 2019, and watched God answer the prayer in 2021 — Pope Francis's 'Year of St. Joseph' — when Bishop Michael F. Burbidge dedicated the new church on May 2, 2021.

Clergy & Leadership
The parish is led by founding pastor Very Reverend Michael G. Taylor, V.F., who has guided the community since he was named parochial administrator in 2010 and founding pastor in 2014. He is assisted by parochial vicar Reverend Devaraju (Devan) Arockiasamy, who arrived from India in 2024 and serves the parish's large Indian Catholic community. Deacon Peter Reyda supports sacramental life and ministry. The team is widely described as 'gentle shepherds who guide with compassion, tradition and joyful intentionality.'

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Faith formation is a cornerstone of parish life. The parish serves roughly 600 students in its Religious Education program for grades 1–8, and historically has had 'a long history of large RCIA/OCIA classes.' Religious Education classes meet Monday evenings, 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm, at St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly while the parish builds toward a future permanent campus. Adult Faith & Bible Study
Adults have multiple ways to go deeper in the faith. The Adult Faith Formation Bible Study meets two ways each week — Monday afternoons from 1:00–2:30 pm at the parish office and Monday evenings from 6:00–7:15 pm at St. Paul VI Catholic HS — following the Religious Education calendar. A separate Young Adult Bible Study (ages 18–25) meets Monday evenings from 6:00–7:00 pm and pairs Scripture study with fellowship. The parish describes these classes as 'quite popular.'

Simbang Gabi & Couples for Christ
Corpus Christi is home to a large Couples for Christ chapter, which was founded in the Philippines and gives the parish a strong Filipino Catholic identity. Each Advent the community hosts a Simbang Gabi Mass — the beloved nine-day Filipino devotional series leading to Christmas — bringing together multiple cultural communities in a worship tradition rooted in the Philippines. Indian Catholics in the Aldie area are also served by the parish, particularly through the ministry of Fr. Devan, who arrived in 2024 from India.

Outreach & Charitable Ministries
Outreach is the heartbeat of parish life. Parish leaders describe the ministries as having 'strong missions of outreach' — supporting local food pantries, defending life, and accompanying families in need. The Prayer Shawl Ministry is especially prolific, with members knitting and donating shawls, blankets, hats and scarves to those in need of comfort due to sickness or loss.

Sacraments
Information on every sacrament is published on the parish website, with clear step-by-step processes for families and engaged couples.
- Baptism — held 2nd & 4th Sundays at 2:30 pm; 6-step parent prep process
- First Holy Communion — 2-year Religious Education preparation required
- Confirmation — multi-year preparation for youth; 3-week adult class offered each spring
- Marriage — at least 6 months notice to the parish priest, Pre-Cana required, all weddings scheduled through priests or office staff

Music, Liturgy & Architecture
The sanctuary itself is the parish's great liturgical treasure. Designed in a classical Gothic cruciform tradition that 'emphasizes height and light,' the church seats more than 1,100. Its brass communion rail spans more than 55 feet with four gates, with design details reminiscent of the Garden of Eden, along with a rare antique rail sourced from a recently closed Catholic church. A first-class relic of St. Peter is installed in the altar, and two statues — of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Padre Pio, canonized in 2002 — flank the confessionals. The livestream operates 24/7, opening the sanctuary to a worldwide audience.
