History of the Parish
The parish was founded in 1958 as an outgrowth of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and met for Mass in a remarkable sequence of borrowed spaces — including a farm, a junior high school, and a funeral home chapel — before moving into its own church/school building on September 23, 1962. The current church opened October 17, 1976, and in 2020 the parish absorbed neighboring St. Matthew the Apostle Parish, retaining its original name.

Faith Formation and OCIA
Adult Faith Formation and the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) are the parish's main formation pathways. OCIA welcomes non-Catholics exploring the Catholic faith as well as Catholics who wish to learn more or be received fully into the Church; the journey begins with a period of inquiry and discernment. Adult Faith Formation supplements ongoing formation for parishioners of all ages.

Music and Liturgical Ministries
The parish choir, directed by Ann Pham, leads the congregation in song at Mass, understood as a participation in the whole church's prayer through music. Young parishioners are invited to serve at the altar through the Altar Server ministry.

Parish Life, Fellowship, and Recreation
Beyond the sanctuary, Coronation's campus hosts fellowship and recreation across the generations. Silver Threads gathers parishioners and friends age 55 and older once a month (fourth Wednesday) for socializing, with a six-person committee planning yearly events. Family Basketball runs most Fridays from 6:01 to 7:00 AM in the gym for ages 11 and up; two Pickleball courts have been taped off in the same gym and welcome youth, homeschoolers, and adults.
