History
The Church of the Resurrection came into existence as a parish of the Diocese of Greensburg on June 21, 1995. Six parishes and four mission churches throughout northern Indiana County were consolidated into a single parish, using five church buildings for worship. The area has had a continuous Catholic presence since at least 1776, when a land grant was issued for a church in Cameron’s Bottom. Despite geographic and demographic challenges, the parish community, supported by its Pastoral Council, Finance Council, and staff, works to sustain a thriving faith community.
Faith Formation
Faith Formation is a lifelong process of initial conversion, formation, education, and ongoing conversion. It seeks to lead all God’s people to an ever-deepening relationship with the Father who reveals Himself in Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. It includes education for adults, youth, and children, and is not limited to children — it is for all ages. The parish offers various forms of formation to help individuals grow in faith and discipleship.
