Parish History
Holy Trinity Parish in Cohoes, NY was created in 1998 when St. Marie's, St. Agnes, and St. Patrick's were merged into a single Catholic community — joining three parishes that together represented more than a century of Cohoes Catholic life. The 1927 Gothic-influenced brick and limestone St. Marie's Church was chosen as the surviving worship site, while the former St. Agnes and St. Patrick's buildings were sold and are now used by Good Ground Family Church and Calvary Grace Church, respectively. The merger coincided with the closing of all Catholic schools in the city, ending an era that began when Ste-Marie's chapel-school opened on Vliet Street in 1902.

Faith Formation
Faith Formation for children in Pre-K through Grade 8 is offered on Sunday mornings from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM in the Holy Trinity Parish Center, with up to 25 classes between September and April. The parish has also introduced Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. For older youth, Confirmation Preparation for Grades 9–10 is a joint program with the parishes of St. Ambrose and St. Michael's, held at St. Ambrose in Latham to give teens from multiple parishes a unified, faith-building experience.

Parish Ministries & Outreach
Beyond worship, the parish offers a number of ministries through which parishioners serve one another and the wider Cohoes community. Formation ministries recruit catechists, catechetical aides, and gatekeepers to support the Faith Formation program, while outreach ministries focus on the elderly, homebound, and people in need.

Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The Holy Trinity Food Pantry, housed in the Parish Center, is one of the parish's signature ministries. Run with the help of volunteers and the generosity of parishioners, it stocks its shelves year-round and runs special food drives for Easter and Christmas, plus an annual Scouting for Food drive. The pantry is affiliated with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and serves residents of the City of Cohoes.

The church sits 'on the hill' at 122 Vliet Boulevard, Cohoes, overlooking one of the oldest Catholic communities along the Hudson. Driving in from Route 787, visitors exit at the end of the highway and turn left onto Vliet Street just after the Cohoes Elks; the church is at the corner of Vliet and Simmons Avenue. Parish Office hours are Monday and Thursday 9 AM–12 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday 9 AM–3 PM; the office is closed on Friday.
