Christ the King Catholic Church is a bilingual (English and Spanish) parish in the Broadview neighborhood of north Seattle, Washington, in the Archdiocese of Seattle. Originally founded in 1930 as St. Anthony parish, it was renamed Christ the King in 1949 when a new church was built. Parish History
Bishop Edward O'Dea asked Father Gerald Fitzgerald to found the parish in 1930; he bought a house at N 117th Street and Phinney Avenue N and dedicated St. Anthony Church that September. Father Fitzgerald broke ground for a school in 1939, which opened with four BVM Sisters and 94 students. Bishop Connolly blessed the new church's cornerstone on December 10, 1949, and re-dedicated the parish as Christ the King. The school class of 1950 was its first graduating class, and the school peaked near 1,000 students in 1956 before transitioning to lay leadership in 1972.

Faith Formation and Religious Education
Faith formation for children is offered during the Sunday morning schedule, including Sunday School for grades K–5 and a Children's Liturgy of the Word during the 9:00 AM Mass for children in pre-K through 5th grade. Registration is available through the parish website.

Youth Ministry

Christ the King Catholic School
Christ the King Catholic School is a preschool-through-8th-grade Catholic school serving the parish and wider community for more than 80 years. Hispanic Ministry (Spanish-Speaking Community)
Christ the King has a long-standing Hispanic Ministry office that supports the parish's Spanish-speaking community. Spanish-language Mass is celebrated on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, and the office coordinates outreach, formation, and sacramental support for Spanish-speaking parishioners.

In 2024, under the Archdiocese of Seattle's Partners in the Gospel strategic pastoral planning process, Christ the King was grouped into Parish Family 13 with neighboring St. Luke Parish in Shoreline (98133). The two parishes share pastoral leadership under one pastor and coordinate sacramental, formation, and youth-ministry resources across their two campuses.
