The Barnabite Fathers at Christ the King
The Barnabite Fathers (Clerics Regular of St. Paul, C.R.S.) are a Catholic religious order of priests and brothers founded in 1530 in Milan by St. Anthony Mary Zaccaria, a physician-turned-priest. The order takes its popular name from their first major church in Milan, dedicated to St. Barnabas. The Barnabites' specific charism centers on devotion to St. Paul the Apostle, to Christ Crucified, and to the Holy Eucharist — a spirituality that is expressed at Christ the King through the parish's prominent weekly Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
Parish Ministries & Organizations
Christ the King describes its ministries as 'the heart of our community, where faith is lived out through service, love, and a commitment to uplifting one another in Christ.' Lay men and women lead and serve in a wide range of liturgical, formational, social, and outreach ministries. All ministry volunteers are required to complete Safe Haven training through the Archdiocese's Catholic Mutual Group (CMG) program.

Events, Formation & Adult Faith
Outside of Sunday worship, the parish offers ongoing formation for adults and a notable young-adult program in cooperation with other area parishes. The Adult Catechism Classes meet once a month in English in the Blue Room (next to the Chapel) to explore Catholic teaching and answer questions about the faith.

Sacraments at Christ the King
The parish prepares parishioners for the seven sacraments through its Sacramentals page and parish staff. Baptisms are celebrated on Saturdays at 9:00 AM and are not offered privately; parents and sponsors should contact Ms. Blanca Pecina in the parish office. Families preparing for First Communion and Confirmation go through the parish's CCE (Continuing Christian Education) catechists. Couples preparing for Matrimony are asked to begin the process well in advance with the parish clergy.
